Subtitling requires specially trained translators who are not only fluent in the source and target languages, but also in what is called spotting. This is the definition of a time window during a speech scene. Since reading takes more time than listening, the spoken text has to be summarised in a limited number of characters, taking the timing into account.

A complete transcription records what is said with all atmospheric elements such as applause, or when speakers clear their throats or use special emphasis. The content version omits any background noise. The cleaned version reproduces the content precisely, and eliminates elements such as repetitions and slips of the tongue. The abridged transcription focuses on the essence of what has been said and results in a grammatically correct text characterised by a harmonious flow of reading.

Automated transcription: fast and inexpensive

If the document is merely for information purposes or to be used as an editing template, then machine execution of a transcription makes sense. Using sophisticated speech recognition software, we transcribe your audio document quickly and at low cost. Even though this kind of editor has certain limitations, it still scores with some technical features such as an automatic timestamp and the identification of different speakers.
