Apostroph was founded as one of the first translation offices in Switzerland.

2010 Apostroph was taken over by private investors. Philipp Meier became the new CEO.
2013 With the acquisitions of Rolf Lüthi Übersetzungen AG in Bern, TraDoc SA in Lutry and allingua Übersetzungen AG in Zurich, Apostroph was able to boast three new sites in Switzerland.
2014 In an asset deal, Transdoc SA was integrated into the language service provider.
2017 Apostroph Switzerland acquired Transcript Übersetzungen AG in Zurich.
2017 Apostroph Group merged with the German company Wieners+Wieners GmbH to create the leader in the German-speaking region.
2020 The customer portfolio of USG AG in Bern was acquired by Apostroph as was Global Translations GmbH in Sutz-Lattrigen.
2021 Philipp Meier became CEO of Apostroph Group. Apostroph Group consists of the brands Apostroph Switzerland, Apostroph Germany, Wieners+Wieners and medDOC.
2021 The German-speaking market was further developed with the introduction of the brand Apostroph Germany in Germany.
2022 Apostroph Switzerland acquired Marco Gehring Communications SA in Ticino.
2025 Apostroph became part of the TransPerfect Group and, from then on, belongs to the world’s largest provider of language and technology solutions. Nadia Gaille assumes the role of Head of Apostroph Switzerland.
